Domain H. William Harlan and Wynn Las Vegas partner on a rare vintage dinner series that will blow your mind.
Normally, $10,000 could buy a whole month’s worth of dinners at Delilah, Mizumi or SW Steakhouse—but this fall it’s what you will pay for a once-in-a-lifetime event. Domain H. William Harlan, producers of some of Napa Valley’s most sought-after, highly rated and expensive wines such as Harlan Estate, BOND and Promontory, partners with Wynn to create a trifecta of multi-course wine pairing dinners starting September 10.
A single seat costs $10,000 and attendance is capped at 20.
Each dinner will be hosted by a Harlan expert and will be curated by a Wynn executive chef. The advantage, other than the memories, is that guests will be granted immediate membership to the featured winery’s wine club—bypassing the lengthy waitlist.
Arguably, the release of 1994 Harlan Estate Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend propelled the winemaker into the stratosphere. Robert Parker called the 100-point wine both “immortality in a glass” and “the single most profound red wine not just in California, but the world.”
All the wines from Harlan have waiting lists, and Founding Director Don Weaver tells Robb Report, “You can sometimes find specific cases at auction, but the wait can be up to six years.” Only established customers have first crack at procuring the winery’s per-buyer max—six bottles.
Wynn CEO Craig Billings, came up with the idea for the event series along with Brian Weitzman, the resort’s executive wine director.
SW Steakhouse Executive Chef Mark LoRusso and Amanda Harlan will kick off festivities on Sept. 10 inside Delilah at Wynn Las Vegas with a prestige Krug Champagne Grand Cuvée reception under the dusk sky in the courtyard garden. Delilah Chef Joshua Smith will present canapés and following the reception, guests will be escorted to the Delilah private dining room for a multi-course dinner paired to Harlan vintages spanning three decades, all poured from magnums.
LoRusso collaborates with Mizumi’s Executive Chef Min Kim, Smith and Weitzman to curate the menu. Amanda Harlan, daughter of Bill Harlan, will mingle with guests, describing the wines, and sharing an insider’s view of Harlan’s winemaking prowess. Wines to be poured include Krug Brut 2008, Harlan Estate 1996, 2001, 2006 and 2016.
In addition to the reception and dinner, the $10,000 package (inclusive of tax and gratuities) includes:
- One night accommodation in a newly renovated Wynn Tower Suites room
- Ground transportation from the Wynn fleet, if applicable.
- Private concierge service
- Special gift and keepsake memento of the evening

The estate’s BOND label holds its dinner Oct. 15. Smith curates the menu with Weitzman. Cory Empting, Harlan’s managing director of wine growing, will be on hand to add his expertise and share stories. Smith will prepare multiple courses that highlight peak seasonal ingredients, worthy of BOND's five distinctive wines.
